Amy earned her Bachelor of Arts in Physical Therapy from the Medical University of South Carolina in 1988 and later completed her Doctor of Physical Therapy through Evidence In Motion.

After moving to Steamboat Springs, Colorado, she pursued advanced training in Functional Manual Therapy with Gregg and Vicky Johnson at The Institute of Physical Art, completing a fellowship and earning her Certified Functional Manual Therapist (CFMT) designation. Amy has also completed two 200-hour yoga teacher trainings and thoughtfully incorporates yoga principles into her individualized treatment approach. Her passion for pelvic health led her to develop and complete a two-year pelvic floor residency program while working in a large private clinic corporation.

Throughout her career, Amy has worked across a variety of clinical settings, including owning her own practice from 2004-2014. Outpatient physical therapy remains where she feels she can make the greatest impact. She values the opportunity to spend one-on-one time with each client, creating personalized treatment plans that help people return to the activities and quality of life that matter most to them.

Outside the clinic, Amy enjoys hiking, spending time outdoors with family and friends, reading, and finding joy in everyday moments. She and her husband have two grown daughters and two new sons-in-law.

Amy is excited to join the Congruency team and looks forward to helping her clients move with greater confidence, function, and quality of life.
