Vestibular Physical Therapy at Congruency

If dizziness, vertigo, or unsteadiness are shaping your daily decisions — avoiding car rides, busy stores, exercise, or social outings — you’re not alone. And you’re not stuck.

Vestibular Physical Therapy at Congruency Therapy & Wellness helps retrain your balance system so you can move through life confidently again.

Serving Charlotte, Lake Norman, and Cornelius, NC, our approach blends elite clinical skill with intentional care — because vestibular recovery is both physical and personal.

This service is ideal for:

  • Adults experiencing dizziness or vertigo

  • People with motion sensitivity

  • Those recovering from concussion

  • Individuals with neck pain and dizziness

  • Aging adults with balance concerns

  • People who feel “off” despite normal scans

It may not be the right fit if dizziness is caused by unmanaged cardiac or neurological conditions — in those cases, we’ll guide you toward appropriate medical collaboration.

Who this service is for

Our care commonly helps with:

  • Spinning or room-moving sensations

  • Lightheadedness or fogginess

  • Unsteady walking

  • Visual blurring with head movement

  • Fear of falling

  • Neck stiffness tied to dizziness

  • Reduced tolerance to motion or screens

What Vestibular Therapy Addresses

What Makes Congruency Different?

Many clinics offer vestibular exercises. Few offer a whole-person approach.

At Congruency, we:

  • Perform comprehensive vestibular and neck assessments

  • Identify which balance systems are involved

  • Treat inner ear, neck, posture, and movement patterns together

  • Use hands-on manual therapy when needed

  • Build confidence through guided exposure

  • Progress at your nervous system’s pace

Our sessions are one-on-one, unrushed, and intentionally structured — because recalibrating the balance system requires precision, not volume.

What an Appointment is Like

Your initial visit includes:

  • A full movement and balance evaluation

  • Eye and head movement testing

  • Neck mobility assessment

  • Postural and gait analysis

  • Discussion of symptom history and triggers

  • Clear explanation of findings

  • A personalized care plan

Typical sessions last 60 minutes, allowing time for treatment, education, and progression.

General FAQs

  • All of our sessions are 1on1 for 1 hour which give our therapists time to listen, thoroughly assess, and treat your problem.

  • Comfortable clothing that allows movement and breathing assessment. Preferably limit baggy clothing so assist in our ability to assess your posture/movement.

  • North Carolina is a full direct access state with no restrictions. This means you do not need a referral for physical therapy unless your insurance specifically requires one for reimbursement purposes.

  • We are an out of network provider for physical therapy services. We have adopted this model specifically because it gives us more time to assess and treat your specific problem without seeing multiple clients at one time.
