Travis was first exposed to the Functional Manual Therapy® approach while in physical therapy school and he was drawn to the incredible outcomes he saw in these highly trained clinicians.  

He dreamed of working in an environment where he could treat the whole body and have time to problem solve collaboratively with his clients.

As his career began, he was frustrated by working in environments where care was dictated by insurance company reimbursement.  He loved the collaborative environment and wanted to maximize his potential as at PT but the high client load in these roles didn’t allow for this. 

He needed to find a better way.

An opportunity presented to work in NYC in an ideal clinic which both allowed him to immerse himself in the FMT® approach AND be one on one with his clients. He wanted to replicate this amazing experience and create a company closer to home.

Congruency was born in the midst of the COVID pandemic, October of 2020! 

He started in a single room space off Providence Rd in Eastover where he shared space with Barbara Green Physical Therapy.

Thankfully, the Charlotte community welcomed him with open arms, very intrigued by this different yet effective approach to physical therapy.

Travis was then inspired to not only find a better way but to build a company that is moving in the direction of ideal in every way.

It was time to grow our team.

As Congruency grew, so did our need for more space to welcome additional team members.

Congruency expanded by moving to 1300 Baxter St in February of 2023 where we were able to bring on a larger team and begin to pour into our company culture. 

We did a deep dive into our core values and studied books like Unreasonable Hospitality and Traction where we were inspired to live into our values of connection and process.

As we have grown, the vision has expanded to support not only our clients but also our team members in the most ideal ways possible.

Travis realized we are attracting amazing people to Congruency and how important it is for the vision to grow as a result. 

In April of 2024, Meg Mizrachi headed up our expansion into the Lake Norman market where we rented space from Keystone Upper Cervical Spine Clinic.

The moved allowed Meg to have a much shorter commute while expanding Congruency into a new market!

As we envision the future, we look for continued opportunities to grow and sturdy our team as well as our company in the greater Charlotte region.

We hope to accomplish this by providing the highest level of individualized physical therapy delivered with excellence in hospitality and service.

We desire for every person who is touched by Congruency to reflect on their experience with delight.
